A brief note acknowledging the official start of the Partner’s Forum of the 9th Triennial Women’s Affairs Ministers Meeting.
The Partner’s Forum is the civil society event held prior to the Commonwealth Women’s Affairs Ministerial Meetings (WAMM). This event brings together civil society, non-governmental organizations and other development partners to deliberate on the theme and work programme of the WAMM. The Partners Forum facilitates the greatest dialogue between government and civil society and key outcomes of the Partners Forum will be presented at the 9WAMM.

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in collaboration with the Government of Canada through the Department of HRSDC will be convening a regional conference on “The Treatment of Labour within International Trade Agreements.” The conference is scheduled to be held 28 - 29 January 2010, at the Grand Barbados Hotel in Barbados.
